Important
Change in Processing VISA
International Transactions
The
following is an important
change to the way the
exchange rate of foreign
transactions is calculated
when using your VISA credit
or debit card
internationally:
Effective
April 2, 2005, the
exchange rate between the
transaction currency and
the billing currency used
for processing
international transactions
will be:
· A rate
selected by VISA from
the range of rates
available in wholesale
currency markets for the
applicable central
processing date, which
may vary from the rate
VISA itself receives, or
· The
government-mandated rate
in effect for the
applicable central
process date
In
each of the above
instances, an additional
ISA (International
Service Assessment) fee
of 1% of the transaction
will be assessed.
Currently
the ISA fee is included in
your transaction total.
After April 1, 2005 the ISA
will appear as a separate
line item on your statement.
No additional fees have been
assessed.
